Few dairy products are available, but the Meadowlark Drive Thru Dairy is the place to go for fresh milk, cheese, and ice cream. This family-owned dairy has been in Pleasanton for over 100 years and is well-known in the area.
 
The Pleasanton Downtown area is just as pedestrian-friendly as the residential communities. Shopping options are plentiful, including exclusive boutiques and large-name brands. Authentic Italian cuisine is served in a warm, friendly atmosphere at Pastas Trattoria, a local favorite that’s been in business for more than 20 years. There is also Nonni's Bistro, serving modern European-inspired cuisine in a classy but casual setting. 

Things to Do

The Alameda County Fairgrounds, located in Pleasanton, hosts more than 300 annual events. The county fair is 19 days in late July and draws people from all over the area. Another well-known event is the Goodguys Car Show which holds several classic and custom car events throughout the year. All summer long, the Pleasanton Downtown Association hosts Friday night concerts in the park. The concerts are free to the public and are located in Lions Wayside Park.
 
Mission Hills Park offers families the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors. A public park with BBQ pits, picnic areas, and soccer and football fields, this is a great place to spend the day with family or on your own. The park offers several trails suitable for all skill levels of hiking, biking, and walking.
